Official Opening of the Play Park

The Pierhead Play Park will be officially opened on Friday 08 November 2019 at 1.30pm. The Head Boy and Head Girl from North Queensferry Primary School will do the honours.

Also, there will be the launching and naming of the ship.

Everybody is welcome to come along and support this milestone.

Nearing Completion (October 2019)

The refurbishment of the Play Park is moving on at a good pace now, with turf laying and landscaping in progress. The Play Park sign has been delivered and will be located within the park perimeter.

By the end of October 2019 the park may look complete, but the turf requires a few weeks to bed-in. Also, an independent inspection is required by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) and a Safety Certificate issued prior to opening the park to the public. So the official opening will be in November 2019. The date has yet to be confirmed.
