The refurbishment of the Play Park is moving on at a good pace now, with turf laying and landscaping in progress. The Play Park sign has been delivered and will be located within the park perimeter.
By the end of October 2019 the park may look complete, but the turf requires a few weeks to bed-in. Also, an independent inspection is required by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) and a Safety Certificate issued prior to opening the park to the public. So the official opening will be in November 2019. The date has yet to be confirmed.
Suspension of Construction Work
Work on site was suspended on Thursday 29 August 2019 for 3 days following an objection. Further to a formal meeting held on Tuesday 03 September 2019, work re-commenced on site.
The Project Group and representation from Fife Council have agreed to give a report to the North Queensferry Community Council on Thursday 12 September 2019.
Test Bores on Wednesday 14 August 2019
The Contractor will be on Site on Wednesday 14 August 2019 to carry out test bores and determine the ground conditions.
This operation should only last for one day and take place during normal working hours. Residents local to the Play Park have been informed through the issue of "Flyers" to each household.
